1960-1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner and Starliner generation were more outrageous than Ford's early 1960, big cars. All-new 1960 Galaxy were about six inches longer, almost 200 pounds heavier and nearly five inches wider. It's so Graceful style, so helped hide its weight, but with a straight A-pillars, sloping hood, grille simple,  clean chrome-edged fenderlines, and modest tailfins horizontal.

Starliner was a real surprise but Sunliner again led the top-line Galaxie group: the pillarless semi-fastback two-door hardtop replacing the highly popular in 1959 version square of roof. It seemed ready to run. He also sold well, although obviously not well enough to meet Ford.
